Cast Iron Bird Bath on Stand

Real cast iron bird bath on a stand made in weather resistant metal that can withstand the outdoors all year round, but more heavy to stay standing in windy conditions.

Cast iron bird bath on a stand are high up to allow wild birds to drink or bathe in safety; while a rounded base sits on a flat surface with an option for using legs, why not impale the stake into the ground. Cast iron bird baths are normally made in a rustic brown, but so to can be aged or have a more weathered effect.

Run over my hard to shop for but genuine heavy cast iron bird baths on a stand; so that can be a rounded cast iron stand with subtle decoration.

Height is important for wild birds to drink in safety so a cast iron bird bath on a stand, also referred to as pedestal bird bath - will offer at least 2ft. or so off the ground.

Don't make do with a bird bath not being used by visiting wild birds; so I recommend relocating the bird bath once in a while to see if it garners more interest.

Cast iron bird baths bowls can be decorated so offer a natural footing for wild birds.

But from time to time a layer of pebbles on the base of the bowl, while submerged under the water can offer more grip.

Within those pebbles use a couple of nice smooth rocks to act as an additional perch.

When setting out to setup a bird bath on a patio or lawn, one major issue to overcome once in a while is wind.

Bird baths on a stand do not stay standing in wind so can topple over once in a while - cast iron bird baths are much more heavier, so are harder to tip over in wind.

Saying that, you could find you need to anchor the cast iron bird bath for cautionary measures only, just to be safe.

First column lists all bird baths on a stand of some kind; second column lists full height of bird bath; third column demonstrates the type of base in use.

I have ten cast iron bird baths for you to consider with those at various heights, while how they stand up in high winds is something to seriously think about.

All are made in authentic, real cast iron with a brown, rustic feel or why not go for something a little more aged or weathered.

Up to six bird baths on a stand that leads to a rounded base, firmly sat on the ground.

Whereas there's a single option for a more unique cast iron bird bath on three legs, but I couldn't resist offering up bird baths on a stake - so need to be impaled into the ground.

Quite short bird baths available so refer to my data table to figure that out on the column.

But where the three tallest can be more appealing to you, remember this refers to the impale type of bird bath only - not the traditional bird baths on a stand.

Not the tallest cast iron bird bath as seen in reduced pricing as its cheaper to buy on Amazon than taller options.

If one were to imagine what a cast iron bird bath on a stand would really look like, surely something like this would come to mind.

Practical as it is beautifully finished in a rustic brown coating that is resistant to weather of all conditions.

Most important feature of course is the bowl where you fill up with fresh water, hopefully on a daily basis.

Its a bowl that is no deeper than 2cm, so its capable of being replenished with water of a reasonable, yet safe height.

Once the water level is breached, the water will simply filter through the gaps around the rim of the cast iron bird bath bowl - rain water will see it bust its bowl.

Shorts bird bath on a stand on my list, but its one that is miniature enough to fit anywhere.

Long base still that sits on a narrow stand with a slightly smaller rounded base than the round dish sitting on top.

All you need in a simple cast iron bird bath that must be impaled, but at the lowest price listed, and to buy on Amazon.

Now I understand you are in the market for a tall cast iron bird bath on stand, but I couldn't resist including this bird bath that has to be impaled into the ground.

Reasons for including this unique cast iron bird bath is because while it serves to offer a water source in a safe way - the design is pretty much resistant to all windy conditions.

Bird baths on stands can topple over in any wind, light or strong; but to be impaled into the ground with its corresponding stake base, tipping over won't be an issue.

While its up to 77cm in length, much of that is used to be impaled into the ground.

Practical as it is easy to use with a nice but smaller water bowl that sits on top with a little depth to it for wild birds to perch or bathe.

Lovely wild bird ornament decorates the rim but its not to benefit the bird bath in any way.

You may be limited to only positioning this cast iron bird bath on a stake to a lawn or soil patch - so remember its not for those with a patio location to spare only.

Dio: Cast Iron Bird Bath with Ornamental Fairy

Dio Cast Iron Bird Bath with Ornamental Fairy

Middle of the road price range so can be bought at a decent price on Amazon, delivery expected at extra cost.

What is probably the most highly rated cast iron bird baths for sale in the UK; you'll be in good hands to offer this up to visiting garden birds.

Cast iron construction is made in a rustic brown with no shine, so is bound to fit into the decor of any garden.

Size of cast iron bird bath bowl can accommodate a large number of wild birds if that at all was possible - but the real standout is the ornamental fairy.

Sitting on the rim of the bird bath is a beautiful fairy with wings attached as she playfully kicks out her foot for a wild bird to rest on her toe.

Bird bath will probably need a rock to allow birds to perch on if water is too shallow, but pebbles added to the bottom of the bowl will assist with grip.

Standing tall at 51cm, the bird bath bowl sits on top of a decorative stand which then fits onto a detailed rounded base.

Overall, you end up with a cast iron bird bath that offers the right balance between bowl and base, to withstand windy conditions.

Fallen Fruits: Cast Iron Bird Bath on Pole

Fallen Fruits Cast Iron Bird Bath on Pole

One of the most expensive cast iron bird baths listed here or if buying on Amazon.

Highly practical yet simplified cast iron bird bath on a stand that, while serving up a big round bowl on a narrow stand.

Inside bird bath bowl is a sort of swirl effect but that can also double up as steps for footing as birds clamber up the sides in or out of the water.

Sitting around the rim this time is a number of ornamental cast iron wild birds.

While two sit alone there's a pair of birds playfully scrapping but this only is to please you, it won't discourage or bring more birds to the bird bath.

Deep bird bath bowl that will need pebbles submerged under the water with a rock to two on the waterline as to offer a safer way for birds to perch while taking a sip of water or entering the water to bathe.

Securely fitted to the cast iron bowl is a corresponding heavy duty cast iron stand.

Bottom of this stand is where the flat rounded base is attached so the bird bath can stand up in all whether with ease.

Nature's Market: Cast Iron Standing Bird Bath

Nature's Market Cast Iron Standing Bird Bath

Classic bird bath listed at a fair price when bought on Amazon.

I have to tell you this cast iron standing bird bath is doing the rounds online, while sold under multiple brand names - so I've selected the most reputable of them all.

I don't really like to recommend a generic product that is sold like this, but this is a nice cast iron bird bath that serves its purpose well.

Darker, rugged cast iron finished inside the bowl but with a more smoother finish.

Holes, or gaps around the rim are only there as decoration and so too is the ornamental wild bird happily perched - quite a big one he his too I might add.

Water depth is quite generous so you may need to do more to keep birds safe, so add pebbles like I recommend all the time.

Standing at 60cm tall, the thin bird bath stand is a little bit decorative but its attached to a heavy base to keep the whole thing standing.

Position on a patio, the lawn or paving stones while enjoying the bird bath up close.

Relaxdays: Tall Cast Iron Bird Bath with Stand

Relaxdays Tall Cast Iron Bird Bath with Stand

Quite the expense for what is the smallest bird bath on my list, but buy it on Amazon to receive FREE delivery at least.

Promoted as a tall cast iron bird bath with stand when it fact it is indeed a tiny bird bath in comparison to the regular size pedestal options.

Small it may be but it serves to offer a water source that is positioned lower to the ground.

On top of that the size is more impervious to wind so won't be so much a problem keeping outside when the windy conditions pick up.

However, that is not to say this is a cast iron bird bath that cannot be toppled over.

So much smaller in real life than the image may perceive, but that can only be a good thing as it will encourage smaller garden birds to use it rather than the nuisance crows or pigeons - as they sense its not a staple unit.

Nevertheless, its still a quality cast iron bird bath on what is a shorter stand with a bowl that can hold more water than is needed.

Intricate detail makes up the inner bowl with detail running down the bird bath stand.

The small rounded bird bath base is not the widest so can lead to tipping over in wind so do consider anchoring it with pegs.

CasaJame: Loggia Fountain Cast Iron Bird Bath

CasaJame Loggia Fountain Cast Iron Bird Bath

Not the cheapest cast iron bird bath but to buy on Amazon, delivery may be thrown in at no extra cost.

Aged, turned rustic green with a chipping effect that is different, but very attractive to the more common brown cast iron finish on most bird baths.

Age iron is encrusted with intricate detailing, including a rigged, subtle pattern inner bowl that can assist wild birds as they drink or bathe.

Noticeably there's a fairytale fairy sitting on the rim, while her leg is out as a little bird sits on the tip of her toe.

Shallow bird bath base with low sides that doesn't offer so much a practical perch area, but the ornamental fairy can be used as so.

Rustic finish carries on down the stem of the cast iron bird bath stand as it finally connects to its base.

Not a colour theme for everyone who wants a cast iron bird bath, but it sure will blend into a more rustic garden landscape.

Of the bird baths listed so far, this one is the second tallest option so is sure to stand out.

Esschert Design: Cast Iron Bird Bath on Stake

Esschert Design Cast Iron Bird Bath on Stake

Simple it may be but you are sure to get your monies worth if to buy on Amazon as it doubles up as a bird feeding tray.

Oh no, I've reverted to offering up a cast iron bird bath again that is the impale kind rather than the much preferred classic stand option.

But let me make my case for this highly practical, yet extremely versatile bird bath on a stake as way to use as a water source, offer wild bird food or simply impale into the ground for ornamental purpose only.

To top with water while finding a spot near wild bird feed I am sure you will see success as birds hop to and from the feed.

Its stands at 91cm in all but remember a lot of that length is impaled into the ground.

You will need a lawn or a soil patch of some kind for this cast iron bird bath to work, as there's no base but a spike for impaling only.

Design of a water bowl on top of stand is a nice one that imitates a flower, together with an ornamental cast iron bird attached to the rim.

If wild birds fail to use this bird bath, in time you can top it up with feed while siting it elsewhere for perhaps better luck next time.

Fallen Fruits: Cast Iron Leaf Bird Bath

Fallen Fruits Cast Iron Leaf Bird Bath

No more expense needed on stabilisers when you buy on Amazon as the stake feature is a lifesaver.

I have so much trust in the cast iron bird baths made to be impaled rather than sat on a flat surface, I've listed one more for the final time.

Think of it like this, a pedestal bird bath that sits on a stand doesn't do so well in any strength of wind, its therefore likely to topple over once in a while - even a heavier cast iron bird bath.

Not so true with a cast iron bird bath that is impaled deep into the ground.

So while the bird bath stake is buried half a foot or so underground, the less bodied bird bath is harder to catch the wind - especially as its fixed to a thin pole much like in the picture.

But other than that, it can be easily upended and moved to a new location if you fail to get any interest by local birds.

Practical bird bath bowl still as it uses a curved leaf shape for topping with water, but the detailing can act as footing for landing birds.

Length of bird bath is tallest on list even when its been impaled into the ground.

Aubaho: Antique Style Sculpture Cast Iron Bird Bath

Aubaho Antique Style Sculpture Cast Iron Bird Bath

Saved the most expensive option for last when bought on Amazon UK.

We've got the brand new cast iron, the rustic age option and now this antique 'style' bird bath in what is the only cast iron bird bath using legs.

I begin by mentioning the highly decorative stand the bird bath bowl is sitting on, and what I nice one it is too.

Several brackets make up the lucrative design while they all join up with a centre positioned stand.

Rather than the stand touching the ground the lower positioned brackets are acting as a three leg stand.

Cast iron bowl is what I believe to be the biggest featured so can hold a tonne of water without the need to regularly replenish.

Up to 3cm deep so its not a shallow one, but a flat surface can be decorated with rocks and, or pebbles lining the bowl.

Position on the lawn or patio but it may be worth noting bird bath stabilisers may be needed from time to time.
